For the EnBW project, AK Lichtdesign developed a sophisticated outdoor lighting design with a focus on lighting design and light art for the exterior grounds. The goal was to combine functional requirements with an artistic, identity-forming lighting effect and to make the outdoor space perceptible both architecturally and atmospherically.

The lighting concept specifically highlights architectural structures, pathways, and open spaces. Through precisely coordinated light guidance, it creates orientation, safety, and at the same time a strong visual presence that clearly defines and enhances the outdoor space during evening and nighttime hours.

Challenge

The challenge was to combine functional outdoor lighting with a creative lighting idea. Light needed to ensure orientation and safety without losing atmosphere, while also developing an artistic statement that sustainably shapes the place.

The lighting design is based on a balanced interplay of technology, design, and light art.
