Type

Office Lighting, Commercial Lighting, Architectural Lighting, Interior Lighting

Location

Stavanger, Norway

For the Finansparken in Stavanger, the headquarters of SpareBank 1 SR-Bank, an extensive lighting concept was implemented that specifically supports the building’s distinctive architecture.

As one of the largest commercial buildings made of wood in Northern Europe, the project places high demands on material impact, light quality, and technical precision. The lighting makes a significant contribution to making the building’s structure visible while also creating a high-quality working atmosphere.

Note: Design by The Light Group.

Challenge

The challenge was to ensure a continuous and even lighting effect across large areas while precisely tracing the architectural lines of the building. Different geometries, curves, and transitions required precise coordination of all lighting components.

Solution

The lighting concept is based on individually adapted systems and precisely coordinated technical implementation.

  1. Custom LED systems
Use of 879 custom-made LED strips with a total length of over 3.5 kilometers.

  2. Precise light line guidance
Coordination of light color and brightness for a seamless lighting effect in straight and curved areas.

  3. Integration of DALI control
Individual control of each unit for maximum control and uniform illumination.

  4. Efficient implementation
Preassembled delivery of all components for quick and precise on-site installation.

The result is a technically precise and architecturally integrated lighting solution that combines functionality and design at a high level.
